Think on These Things

An integral part of our life is to offer sincere repentance for our sins and seek Allah’s forgiveness regularly.
The Noble Quran states:
“But Allah was not going to send them a punishment while you here among them, and He was not going to send it while they sought forgiveness” (8:33)

‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabah (RA) said, “We were with Ibn ‘Umar (RA)  when a young man of Basra came and asked about something and he said, ‘Shall I inform you about that? He said, ‘Once there were ten of us with the messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) in Masjidun Nabbawwi: Abu bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthmaan, ‘Ali, Ibn Mas’ud, Hudhayfa, Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, another man, and myself, when a young man of the Ansaar came and greeted the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), and then stood there and said, “Messenger of Allah, which believers are best?” He said, “Those who have the best character, “He asked, “Which believers are the shrewdest?” he replied, “Those who remember death most and prepare for it most thoroughly before it comes to them.”

Once Ibn Abbas (RA), visited Muawiya (RA), in the presence of Amr bin Aas (RA). Amr bin Aas (RA) addressed Ibn Abbas (RA) saying, “I was just wondering about the Quraish - since you are known to be the most learned among the Quraish - tell me why the Quraish are called Quraish?”

If a person forms the habit of doing a certain good deed during the month of Ramadhaan it will be easy for him to carry out that deed in the remaining months of the year and it will become his habit to do so. Likewise, if one commits a sin during the month of Ramadhaan, its effects remain with him even after Ramadhaan and if he formed the habit of committing that sin during the month of Ramadhaan it will thereafter become a habit and he would find it extremely difficult to abandon it. (Faqihul Ummat Mufti Mahmood Gangohi  rahimahullah)

When verbally attacked  Abu Bakr (RA) was once attacked verbally with abusive words by a person, upon which, he remarked; “If you are correct in what you say then I ask Allah for forgiveness, and if you have lied then may Allah forgive you.” (Ma iriful Quran)
