Now that we have entered 2019, the scene is hectic. Furious challenges are thrashing the world. The reality is indeed overwhelming. The condition is worsening by the day.
Our beloved Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) stated that a time will come when yesterday would’ve been better than today - and today shall be better than tomorrow - meaning that every day would be more difficult than the day before.
The waves of Fitnah (trials and tribulations) are crashing onto us like the big blundering bulks of the ocean - unendingly - rain or no rain - sunshine or gloom - the mighty marauding waves just thunder on. Majority of the people are oblivious of the happenings around the world. Most times this ignorance is quite intentional --- like the proverbial “ostrich burying its head in the sand”. With the volume of Deeni Educational Programmes, lectures and workshops the masses are well aware that good actions and good deeds can make a change.
Everyday life is similar to walking into a perfume shop. The powerful aroma is most infectious: it leaves one sweet-scented, fresh and fragrant. On the other hand, there are times when one strolls into a fishmonger’s stall. The foul odour drifting through the air is indeed quite endemic : it leaves one repugnant, stinky and stenchy. In much the similarly vein, where there is good, nothing but good shall emanate. Alas, it is the same with evil and immorality, nothing but decadence and rottenness shall fill the air.
Currently, with all the negativity, shamelessness and evilness, it is becoming ever so difficult to find good and high quality living conditions. A life without stress, violence, vice and social pollution is rapidly becoming a very rare and scarce commodity.
For one to survive during this horrific and testing times, one needs to establish and maintain a sound and healthy value system. This aura of wholesomeness needs to pervade the all-embracing living, social and working environments. The “curriculum” for such a unique and noble value system does exist. Aha, and it was designed and disseminated by none other than our beloved Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)).
This “curriculum” is immaculate and impeccable. Since this supreme “curriculum” is underpinned by the “most perfect and purest Hands” of our Rabb, Allah (Jalla Shaanuhu), it thus becomes a totally flawless and incorrigible structure. Insha Allah, this “gift” from Allah Ta’ala and His most beloved, Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is eternal!
In the light of the above, a Believer (Mu’min/a) can now easily understand that when he/she firmly holds on to the Mubarak Sunnah of our beloved Master, Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam): -
his/her honour, dignity and respect is sustained;
he/she is safeguard from the deception of Iblees, the rejected one;
he/she is protected from the scourge of fitnahs in our challenging times; and
most importantly, he/she is in the protection of our Creator, Allah (Tabaraka wa Ta’ala).
It is common knowledge that the forces of evil are striving very hard to disunite and break up the Ummah into fragments. Sadly, the outcome that they are working towards is the total destruction and annihilation of our faith and belief (Imaan). The enemies of Deen also know full-well that it’s easier to demolish an individual than the collective Ummah. Unbeknown to us, huge and dangerous schemes are being planned by the forces of evil (baatil) in order to discredit, disfigure and eventually, to obliterate the name of Islam.
Unfortunately, the absence of Muslim-Unity creates an ideal climate for the forces of evil to strive.
A perfect recipe for disaster and destruction!
The attitude towards Muslims has become so warped, that he/she can now be labelled as a terrorist for the most insignificant misdemeanour anywhere in the world. Worse still is the fact that
Anti-Muslim Governments can now incarcerate an “innocent Muslim/a” willy-nilly. For these inhuman authorities, the golden rule of “innocent until proven guilty” does not exist anymore. Shameless as it may sound, the cheap publicity at the expense of a Muslim’s life is hailed as some kind of success - How vain? - In order to understand this, one just has to look at:-
The entire Middle East is in turmoil;
The rest of the Muslim world is held hostage, particularly after the 11/09 attacks;
A Muslim’s “honour” and “blood” has become dirt cheap;
Unwarranted hostility and resentment against Muslims has become a “silly norm”;
Wholesale infringement of the rights, respect and honour of a Muslim Female is no more problematic; and
Open and inhumane demolition and displacement of residents from their places of birth is no more questioned by the so-called “civilised world”.
Our trust and reliance is only in our Creator, Allah (Tabaraka wa Ta’ala). Tests and trials will always come. But once we transgress the laws of Allah (Ta’ala), and follow the whims of shaitaan, then the challenges will become more and more insurmountable.
