He was known by the title Abu Abdir Rahman and also Ibn Umm Abd. He was the sixth man to bring Imaan in the early days of Islam. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) treated him most affectionately and always kept him close to his side. He was amongst the personal attendants of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)

Hafsa is the daughter of Hazrat Umar ibn Khattab (R) and one the noble wives of Rasulullah r. Her mother was Zaynub bint Maz'oon (Radiyallahu Anha). Before marrying Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) she was married to Hazrat Khunais ibn Huzafah As Sahmi t. She made Hijrah to Madeenah Munawwarah with him. He was severely wounded in the Battle of Badr and passed away thereafter.

Hazrat Bilal (R) was of African origin and was born from the slaves of the Banu Jumah tribe. He accepted Islam in the early days and was the first person to publicly proclaim his faith in Makkah. He participated in Badr and all the battles that took place therafter. Umayyah ibn Khalaf was one of his chief tormentors when he accepted Islam. Allah Ta'ala made it such that Hazrat Bilal (R) himself killed him in the Battle of Badr.

Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (R) reports that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “If there had to be a Prophet after me it would have been Umar bin Khattab.” (Mishkat Vol.2 Pg. 558)

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Every Nabi has a companion in Jannah, and my companion in Jannah is Uthman bin Affan.” (Ibn Majah, Tirmizi)

Everything - good and the bad - is from Allah Ta'ala. Good health is indeed a great bounty and a treasured gift from Allah Ta'ala. Having little or no wealth is incomparable to the blessing of good health. Therefore, one should continuously thank Allah Ta'ala for the good health that He has gifted us with.
In Islam, consumption or intake of any substance that intoxicates or causes loss of self-control is forbidden. Every command of Islam is based on Divine Wisdom and benefit for humanity. Conformity to these laws brings about protection for the individual and helps to maintain a society that is safe and peaceful for all.
Human life is priceless. No material treasure in the world can be equal in value to one moment of life. Every breath given to a person by Almighty Allah is a bounty.
