Hafsa is the daughter of Hazrat Umar ibn Khattab (R) and one the noble wives of Rasulullah r. Her mother was Zaynub bint Maz'oon (Radiyallahu Anha). Before marrying Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) she was married to Hazrat Khunais ibn Huzafah As Sahmi t. She made Hijrah to Madeenah Munawwarah with him. He was severely wounded in the Battle of Badr and passed away thereafter.

Hazrat Bilal (R) was of African origin and was born from the slaves of the Banu Jumah tribe. He accepted Islam in the early days and was the first person to publicly proclaim his faith in Makkah. He participated in Badr and all the battles that took place therafter. Umayyah ibn Khalaf was one of his chief tormentors when he accepted Islam. Allah Ta'ala made it such that Hazrat Bilal (R) himself killed him in the Battle of Badr.

Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (R) reports that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “If there had to be a Prophet after me it would have been Umar bin Khattab.” (Mishkat Vol.2 Pg. 558)

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Every Nabi has a companion in Jannah, and my companion in Jannah is Uthman bin Affan.” (Ibn Majah, Tirmizi)

Name: Zaynab bint Jahsh

Title: Ummul Hakam

Everything - good and the bad - is from Allah Ta'ala. Good health is indeed a great bounty and a treasured gift from Allah Ta'ala. Having little or no wealth is incomparable to the blessing of good health. Therefore, one should continuously thank Allah Ta'ala for the good health that He has gifted us with.
In Islam, consumption or intake of any substance that intoxicates or causes loss of self-control is forbidden. Every command of Islam is based on Divine Wisdom and benefit for humanity. Conformity to these laws brings about protection for the individual and helps to maintain a society that is safe and peaceful for all.
Human life is priceless. No material treasure in the world can be equal in value to one moment of life. Every breath given to a person by Almighty Allah is a bounty.
Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) stated: “If Allah Ta’ala wishes good for a person, He gives him (a deep) understanding of the Deen.” (Bukhari)
Islam accords a Muslim wife a very unique position. She is entrusted with infusing Islamic values within the home and shaping the home environment into one of bliss and piety. Indeed her role is pivotal, and for this the wife herself will need to be empowered with sound Islamic knowledge, sound character and good home-keeping techniques.
