Hajj and Umrah

The advent of the month of Shawwāl brings with it the remembrance of Ibrāhīm ‘alayhis salām and his memorable hajj. All over the world, those who are fortunate make preparations for this great spiritual experience. Hajj is from the five pillars of Islām and is fard upon every sane and mature believer who possesses the means to perform hajj.

It is every Hãji’s desire to return home earning a Hajj-e-Mabroor and a Hajj-e- Maqbool --- meaning an accepted Hajj.

Sunnats and Aadaab of Dhul Hijja1. Zul Hijjah is from the four sacred months of the Islamic Calender. The four sacred months are Dhul Qa’dah, Dhul Hijja, Muharram and Rajab. The rewards of any good deed done in these months are multiplied, and the sins committed in these months are also regarded as more serious.

By the grace of Almighty Allah you shall soon be travelling for performing Hajj. Surely you should take care of the Sacredness of the Haramain Shareefain (Makkah Al Mukarramah and Madinah Al Munawarah). In this regard we request you to please remove Musical Ring Tones from your mobile phones before departure, and during Hajj try to keep your mobile phones on Vibrate/Silent.

The small, cubed building known as the Kabah may not rival skyscrapers in height or mansions in width, but its impact on history and human beings is unmatched.

The Kabah is the building towards which Muslims face five times a day, everyday, in prayer. This has been the case since the time of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) over 1400 years ago.
